Medtronic and Mindray North America Broaden Strategic Partnership Beyond Hospitals to Ambulatory Surgery Centers Across the U.S.

Patient transport at corner

Medtronic and Mindray, two global leaders in healthcare technology, today announced the extension of their strategic partnership on patient monitoring technology beyond hospitals into ambulatory surgery centers (ASC), reinforcing their commitment to support clinicians and patients across inpatient and outpatient settings in the United States.

This alliance simplifies access and integration of advanced monitoring solutions from both companies, helping reduce costs while enhancing patient care.

"This expanded collaboration with Medtronic underscores our shared vision to make advanced monitoring technology more accessible across all points of care,” said Wayne Quinn, President of Mindray North America. “As more procedures shift to outpatient settings, we’re proud to deliver the same level of advanced monitoring and clinical insight that hospitals rely on, helping ASCs provide exceptional care with efficiency and confidence."

Mindray North America and the Medtronic Acute Care & Monitoring business have a proven history of collaboration in the acute care space, particularly in perioperative settings, where Mindray pioneered integration of the Medtronic BIS™ 4-channel brain monitoring system and INVOS™ regional oximetry technology. These integrations enable clinicians to monitor depth of anesthesia and regional tissue oxygenation with clinical precision in critical care and perioperative environments.

“Every patient deserves reliable, high‑quality monitoring no matter where their procedure takes place,” said Blake Tatum, Vice President of U.S. Commercial for Medtronic Acute Care & Monitoring, which is part of the company's Medical Surgical Portfolio. “By integrating industry-leading Medtronic technologies like Microstream™ capnography, BIS™ brain monitoring, Nellcor™ pulse oximetry, and INVOS™ regional oximetry into Mindray’s innovative platforms, we’re making advanced monitoring easier to adopt in ASCs so that clinicians can focus on what matters most: the patient in front of them.”

This collaboration brings highly specialized monitoring technology to the forefront of patient care. Mindray North America is actively integrating next-generation Medtronic monitoring technologies, including the upcoming INVOS™ 7100 system and next-generation BIS™ systems, ensuring clinicians and patients continue to benefit from the most advanced monitoring capabilities available. Furthermore, the companies will utilize their integrated distributor networks to facilitate a more efficient and economical procurement process for Mindray monitoring systems featuring all Medtronic technologies across healthcare systems nationwide.

Medtronic and Mindray North America remain committed to supporting clinicians across all care settings, improving patient safety, and expanding access to high-quality monitoring solutions that meet the evolving needs of U.S. healthcare.
