By leveraging embodied intelligence to unify all our Intelli-Digital capabilities, we are creating a closed-loop ecosystem—from lights-out clinical labs to intelligent robots across anesthesia, ultrasound, and surgery.
We've built a bidirectional closed loop of "senses (terminal devices) – brain (QiYuan AI agent) – limbs (automated execution)." This gives our devices true autonomy to handle more repetitive tasks, freeing medical staff to focus on patient care.

Q: What are the differences between the new Mindray Smart Hospital
Ecosystem and the previous M-Connect, MiCo+, and Mindray Innolab?
- With over 30 years of clinical expertise, Mindray has advanced smart healthcare systems through intelligent device upgrades. However, we recognized that data silos between devices were a critical barrier to building smart healthcare systems.
- In 2019, Mindray pioneered the exploration of the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT). With a patient-centric approach, we broke down device boundaries to enable multi-device integration and data consolidation. Six years later, our IoMT ecosystem—represented by M-Connect Solutions (M-Connect, MiCo+ and Mindray Innolab)—delivers interoperability across more than 150 device models.
- Building on our robust equipment infrastructure, we focused on how to integrate device and system data to drive actionable insights that guide physician decisions. This defines Mindray's strategic transformation for 2024. To this end, Mindray acquired and established a wholly-owned medical informatics subsidiary (Hangzhou Mindray Digital Technology Co., Ltd.) in 2023. Driven by comprehensive Intelli-Digital transformation, we aim to build an integrated healthcare ecosystem centered on specialty information systems and powered by "Device + IT + AI."

Mindray's QiYuan large model targets the core of clinical treatment, especially in decision support for acute and critical care, directly enabling treatment evaluation and plan recommendation.
General-purpose large models are mainly used for optimizing peripheral processes such as information collection and follow-up, rather than for in-depth treatment decisions. -
Different training logic
Mindray trains the QiYuan large model on a corpus based on specialty diagnostic logic, leveraging precise individualized data to build high-definition patient profiles, equipping the model with clinical reasoning capabilities similar to those of specialists.
General-purpose large models rely on broad corpora, lacking the depth of medical expertise required to support precise clinical treatment. -
Different application models
The clinical decision support platform transforms QiYuan from a Q&A bot into an integrated part of the clinical workflow (screening – evaluation – treatment – evaluation – outcome – documentation – quality control – research), forming a closed-loop decision support system that empowers clinical care and enhances patient safety.

- Mindray IoMT delivers several key advantages, including seamless integration with third-party systems. Devices generate more comprehensive data with extensive advanced parameters. Because it originates directly from devices, data governance achieves higher precision, and physiological signals from the same source can undergo cross-validation and intelligent calibration. Furthermore, AI applications can provide feedback to the device, driving ongoing performance optimization and sustained competitive edge.
