An Oasis in a Forest of Steel

Surrounded by the high-rise buildings of internet companies in Shenzhen, Mindray's office block has a lower profile. The haven of serenity amid the bustling center fits perfectly with our cultural ethos. As a healthcare provider, we are committed to creating a comfortable and eco-friendly workplace for our employees, and the Green Office mindset is incorporated into our day-to-day life.

Mindray Headquarters

The 35-story Building B within Mindray, completed in 2010, stands erect among the towering buildings in the High-Tech Park. Its iconic red brick design is distinctive from the surrounding buildings made up of glass curtain walls.

In front of the Mindray Building B sits a gatehouse characterized by its architectural style that hails from the golden age of the Tang Dynasty, on which hangs a plaque that reads "mindray," written by the famous calligrapher Mr. Ouyang Zhongshi.

The Suzhou-style Garden nestled in the Mindray park is particularly "luxurious," as every inch of land inside the high-tech park is precious. The corridors, pavilions, ponds, and Lingbi stones are creatively designed by the courtyard designers from Suzhou. The corridors are built along the park's terrain, and the corners are connected with two pavilions called "Collection of Talents" and "Pursuit of Diligence." The roof and beams of the pavilions have been built using a mortise and tenon structure without a single nail, presenting streamlined overhanging eaves.

There is even an apron on the top floor, and the view from the upper floors looks out over the greater Bay Area scenery, including a full 360-degree view of the forest of steel. The hanging garden hidden between every two floors is the perfect place for Mindray staff to relax after work. Standing here, you can enjoy the beautiful sunset, watch the Shahe River merge into the distant Shenzhen Bay, and feel the hustle and bustle of the high-tech park.

Green Office practices are adhered to across our workplace every day: air conditioning set to 26 degrees Celsius with the doors and windows closed during the working day, and the power off 30 minutes before the end of the day; office equipment powered off to reduce standby energy consumption; a "paperless office" and "paperless communication"; garbage sorted, and reasonable use of water, among other things.

On the 31st floor, exercise rooms including a fitness room, dance room, and table tennis room offer different classes free of charge every day of the week. Employees can sign up based on their own preferences, and exercise while delighting both body and mind with the vista of vast seas and mountains.

Mindray "Animal Medical" Headquarters

Shenzhen Mindray Animal Medical, a subsidiary of Mindray, focuses on delivering integrated solutions for animal medical devices. Its headquarters is located in Guanlan, Longhua District, in a 20,000 square meter single-family office building with a cute nickname: "Animal Technology Building," because it really is home to a lot of "animals."

Exclusive animal uniforms, various animal sculptures, paw logos, and animal dolls are all incarnated as "magical animals," and can be found in every corner of the company.

The office area is simple and neat, with a unique space for every Mindray employee. The cute animal dolls on the office desks demonstrate the warmth and love of the Mindray staff.

Colleagues in the R&D department spend day and night in the lab brainstorming the next product, performing experiments and calculations over and over again to navigate bottlenecks and make breakthroughs. Seeing such a scene, we can't help wondering how many animals' lives will be saved and how many lives will be treated with greater decency through this boring yet challenging and meaningful process.

We consistently follow the philosophy of ecological sustainability and make environmental protection an integral part of our administrative office routines. We endeavor to go green at work through multiple ways, such as reduction on the demand for resources, use of resource-saving facilities and reuse of resources, making our workplace an oasis in the noisy city.
