Munich, Germany – At the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM) 2025, Mindray proudly unveiled the next-generation ventilator SV900/SV700 series. This launch marks a significant leap forward in intelligent respiratory care, designed to empower clinicians with deeper insights and data-driven decision support for improved patient outcomes.
The new SV platform builds upon the proven legacy of its predecessors—featuring dynamic driving pressure, mechanical power, and comprehensive Transpulmonary Pressure (Ptp) solutions. Powered by high-performance hardware and advanced data analytics, it sets a new benchmark in intelligent ventilation for all patient types.
A cornerstone innovation of the SV900/SV700 series is its non-invasive Respiratory Muscle Pressure (Pmus) monitoring. By leveraging sophisticated respiratory mechanics algorithms and waveform analysis, it calculates Pmus in real-time—eliminating the need for external sensors or invasive procedures. This provides clinicians with an objective metric to accurately assess patient respiratory effort, with its clinical significance and accuracy rigorously validated and research has been published in the Critical Care.
Addressing the critical challenge of detection and expert dependency, the series introduces an intelligent Patient-Ventilator Asynchrony (PVA) analysis tool. It continuously monitors patient-ventilator interaction in real-time, automatically pinpointing and quantifying multiple asynchrony events. Beyond identification, the tool provides root-cause analysis and research-based adjustment suggestions, significantly reducing clinical workload and supporting evidence-based interventions.
The SV900/SV700 series further introduces a smart weaning screening solution. Seamlessly integrated with the Mindray smart ecosystem, it consolidates multi-parameter data from Mindray patient monitors, arterial blood gas analysis, and other relevant sources. By combining this information, the ventilation strategy assessment tool delivers an intelligent, data-driven evaluation of a patient's weaning readiness. This supports clinicians in fine-tuning treatment plans and offers a clear reference for determining the optimal extubation timing.
Maintaining its commitment to flexible connectivity, the series offers seamless integration with Central Monitoring Systems (CMS). This enables unified management of multiple ventilators and bedside devices. New remote control functionality allows clinicians to monitor and adjust ventilator settings directly from the CMS—minimizing cross-infection risks in isolation settings. Coupled with the Silent ICU functionality, which redirects alarm notifications through the CMS, it helps maintain a tranquil, therapeutic environment for patient recovery.
"The SV900/SV700 series represents a transformative step in critical care assistance," said Zhao Yuxiang, General Manager of Mindray Global PMLS Sales & Marketing. "By integrating groundbreaking intelligence at the point of care, we are not just innovating for today's ICU but inspiring clinical confidence and shaping a more efficient, patient-centric future for respiratory therapy worldwide."
