March 30, 2015 – Mindray’s SV300 ventilator has won the 2015 Red Dot Design Award, an international competition that honors the best product designs globally. This year's competition attracted more than 4,900 innovative entries from nearly 2,000 participants in 56 countries; the SV300 was selected by a jury of 38 renowned specialists from around the world for its smart and user-centric design.

“With your entry, you showed uncompromising competency and considerable courage and have measured yourself successfully against the best in the industry. Both of these things are now being rewarded – in the most important competition for product design.” commented Professor Dr. Peter Zec, founder and president of Red Dot.

The SV300 is one of the lightest critical care turbine-based ventilators in the market. The lightweight and compact design makes SV300 ideal for intra-hospital transport; its tiltable touch-screen allows users to easily view patient information, while its detachable inspiration and expiration valves support high- temperature sterilization to reduce the possibility of cross-contamination. The ventilator also has a multi-view alarm light that enables clinicians to respond immediately in critical situations and a multifunctional trolley that accommodates various accessories, making it easy to adapt to different clinical environments.

Mindray, a leading developer and manufacturer of medical devices worldwide, is dedicated to improving healthcare with innovation and developing effective solutions for today’s challenging clinical environment.
