Controlling the depth of anesthesia in high-risk patients is demanding and heavily reliant on the experience of the anesthesiologist. Accurately assessing the amount of intravenous and inhalation anesthetics remains a clinical challenge. What's more, due to the scattered data, anesthesiologists have to observe the patient's vital signs across various devices to devise drug adjustment strategies. However, this process of adjustment often encounters delays.

On-site sharing of the study "High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) Combined with Oxygen Facemask to
Improve Oxygenation", which was published in the first half of 2023 in a top journal in critical
care medicine with an Impact Factor of 10.318.
Statistically, about 56% of patients in clinical surgery had insufficient pre-oxygenation, which can lead to hypoxia and other risk situations, especially for high-risk patients with poor oxygen saturation such as bariatric, pediatric, critically ill, or difficult airway. According to research findings, the use of a facemask in combination with high flow nasal cannula (HFNC) for pre-oxygenation and asphyxiation in the operating room is highly associated with an increase in minimum end-tidal oxygen (EtO2) levels within 2 minutes of intubation and a reduction in oxygen saturation. This effect also works for obese patients. This finding may transform into clinical practices, making it the preference for endotracheal intubation in the ICU or anesthesia in the future.
