Recently, Mindray has donated 22 million RMB worth of medical devices to Tongji Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology ("Wuhan Tongji Hospital" hereinafter) and Union Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology ("Wuhan Union Hospital" hereinafter), two designated critical care hospitals for treatment during the pandemic. The donation includes monitors, remote ultrasound consultation systems, high-end color Doppler ultrasound systems, in vitro diagnostics, and other devices, which have already been installed and delivered.

To date, Mindray has donated 33 million RMB worth of medical devices to designated medical institutions in Hubei Province, and urgently delivered more than 50,000 units of medical devices nationwide, acting as a powerful technological "weapon" in the fight against the pandemic.

Wuhan Tongji Hospital and Wuhan Union Hospital, representing the core regional medical and scientific research centers, found themselves at the front line in the fight against the coronavirus. To date, Tongji Hospital has admitted more than 2,000 critically ill and critical patients, making it the busiest of the designated hospitals in Wuhan.

From the beginning of the pandemic to early February, Wuhan Union Hospital has received more than 70,000 visits to its online and offline specialist clinics. From the beginning of February to now, it has offered nearly 50 remote video consultations to hospitals in Hubei Province, bringing into play the advantages of large multi-departmental hospitals as a "national team." Experts in critical care medicine need to work with many other disciplines to provide efficient, systematic, and optimized treatment plans for COVID-19 patients.

The solution of Mindray Patient Monitoring & Life Support has provided perioperative safety and precision for Wuhan Tongji Hospital from the start of the pandemic, in terms of anesthesia and monitoring vital patients' signs. Since the outbreak of the pandemic in January, Mindray has responded to clinical needs in a timely manner, delivering nearly 1,000 monitors, defibrillators, ventilators, bedside ultrasound systems, and other devices to Wuhan Tongji Hospital, which effectively protected medical staff.

The 11 million RMB worth of medical devices, including defibrillators, monitors, automatic external defibrillators (AEDs), remote ultrasound consultation systems, high-end color Doppler ultrasound systems, hematology analyzer CRP integrated machines, and cellular analysis lines, have been installed on schedule in Wuhan Tongji Hospital.

Mindray remote ultrasound systems were a particular success for remote consultations in Wuhan Union Hospital. It is reported that the Mindray "Xunying" remote ultrasound systems have been gradually installed in over twenty designated hospitals in infected areas in Hubei Province, with Wuhan Tongji Hospital and Union Hospital using them most for consultations. "Xunying" can transmit bedside ultrasound images from the isolation area to the in-hospital/regional consultation center in high-definition and real-time, reducing unnecessary cross-infection and improving diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Tongji Hospital and the leaders of the medical teams supporting Hubei jointly set up a large medical office where they constantly summarized their experiences to form expert consensus on what was happening. They then drafted temporary medical manuals that brought together diagnosis and treatment standards and procedures, with the goal of saving more critically ill patients. As the "national team", Union Hospital actively deployed treatments, providing COVID-19 patients with effective diagnosis and treatment plans that were systematic and optimized. In the face of the pandemic, those at the front line met the threat head on, and played a leading role in fighting the pandemic.

We won't retreat until the pandemic is over. Mindray will continue to move ahead alongside the heroes putting themselves in harm's way, to win the fight against COVID-19 as quickly as possible.
