Every three minutes, a child is born with cleft lip and palate globally. Despite modern healthcare, patients in remote areas still lack timely surgeries due to financial constraints and scarce medical resources, facing challenges like eating difficulties, speech impairments and social stigma.

In 2013, Mindray's North America team helped Operation Smile recruit medical volunteers. In 2023, we jointly launched the global #SmilesforAll   initiative, bringing hope to patients' families through equipment donations, technical training and employee volunteering.

Our Achievements

28 Mindray staff joined Operation Smile missions across Shandong, Yunnan and Shenzhen, screening 188 patients and assisting 95 surgeries.

At Yunnan Wenshan, Operation Smile's first China partner hospital - Mindray's volunteer base screened 267 cleft patients, performed 165 free surgeries, and trained 59 medics through 4 AHA courses.

Mindray's donated medical center in Colombia, the north's first cleft-dedicated OR, screened 1,000+ patients and completed 198 surgeries (38 cleft repairs).

Through charity sales and fundraising events, Mindray raised 41,000+ yuan for Operation Smile.
