TE Air FAQs

No, the probe is its own hotspot (which is crucial in urgent, mobile critical care settings, such as on helicopters and ambulances). The only time Wi-Fi is needed is for sending or transferring images.

No, there is no subscription plan associated with this probe. All costs are at the time of purchase. Any app updates will happen through the typical update pattern in the App Store.

The TE Air e5M supports seamless data sharing. Images and cine loops can be exported in standard formats (JPG and MP4), and it integrates with DICOM 3.0 (Store, Media Exchange, Worklist); as well as third-party solutions like Q-path, Tricefy cloud, and shared PC folders. Data encryption is built in, with no subscriptions, locked features, or cloud dependence.

The TE Air e5M and i3P Systems can be charged with its USB Magnetic Transducer Charging Cable or via the Air Capsule. Using fast cable charging, the probe charges from 0 to 90% in about 35 minutes.

The TE Air e5M and i3P Systems feature IP68 level waterproof and dustproof design and can withstand complete immersion with compatible disinfectants. Please refer to the complete disinfection manual for more details.

The TE Air i3P also uses piezoelectric crystal technology, specifically a phased array design with 64 elements and a 2.0–4.0 MHz bandwidth. This crystal-based approach provides the high sensitivity and penetration needed for cardiac and abdominal imaging, as well as thoracic, urology, and cephalic applications. By avoiding chip-based compromises, the TE Air i3P ensures reliable diagnostic performance in demanding point of care environments.

The TE Air i3P is compatible with both iOS and Android devices when they meet the minimum requirements. For iOS, it requires an Apple A10 processor or newer, iOS 13 or above, at least 128 GB storage, 2 GB memory, and a display of 4.7" or larger with a resolution of 1224 × 750 and a brightness of 400 nit. For Android, the minimum is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, Android 10 or above, 256 GB storage, 8 GB memory, and a display of 6.41" or larger with a resolution of 2340 × 1080 and a brightness of 400 nit. Devices meeting these specifications ensure stable operation of the TE Air i3P and full performance of the app.

At full charge, the TE Air i3P provides at least 90 minutes of operation.

The TE Air i3P supports B-mode, M-mode, Color Doppler, Power Doppler, Pulsed Wave Doppler and Tissue Doppler Imaging (TDI). Standard features include iClear, and Smart Bladder. Auto EF and TDI are optional features.

The TE Air i3P comes with 11 exam presets, optimized for cardiac, abdominal, thoracic/pleural, urology, and cephalic applications.
