Mindray receives renewed approval for information security management and privacy information management certificates at headquarters

2024-01-26

Mindray secures renewed ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and ISO/IEC 27701:2019 certifications for comprehensive information security management and privacy information management across all core business sectors at its Shenzhen headquarters in China. This covers areas such as R&D, sales, service, IT, and more.

ISO 27001 is one of the most well-known standards for information security management systems (ISMS). It provides a framework to help organisations manage information security risks, protect themselves from threats, and keep assets secure. As an extension to the ISO 27001 framework, ISO 27701 specifies requirements and provides guidance for improving a Privacy Information Management System (PIMS).

The certification reinforces Mindray's steadfast dedication to maintaining the utmost security and confidentiality of business information and private information pertaining to its customers, business partners, and staff members. With this recognition, customers can have enhanced confidence knowing that their information is consistently handled and stored to the highest standards within Mindray.

Following successful implementation and audits, the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and ISO/ICE 27701:2019 certificates cover all core areas of the Mindray business, including:

  • sales and marketing services for the Patient Monitoring and Life Support (PMLS), Medical Imaging Systems (MIS), In-Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) product lines;
  • research and development activities of the 3 Major Production Lines;
  • supporting functions such as Operations, Service, Human Resources, Information Technology, Public Relations and Governmental Affairs, Marketing and Communications, and Supply Chain;

Mindray's successful acquisition of the new ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification and ISO/IEC 27701:2019 UKAS accreditation certification fully reflects that Mindray's management system of information security and privacy protection has reached a new level.
