Mindray, a global leader in developing and providing advanced medical solutions, showcases its Total Infusion Solution at the 9th EfCCNa Congress held from August 31 through September 3, 2022, in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Under the theme “Connect to Advanced Infusion Care”, Mindray’s BeneFusion n series and e series infusion systems and M-Connect IT solution demonstrates how its one-stop smart ecosystem can empower frontline nurses to deliver critical care with higher precision, greater efficiency, and streamlined procedures.

Precision dosage, automation and programmable delivery are the benefits that made infusion pumps crucial devices for clinicians to provide quality care for ICU patients. But the challenges arising from medication errors and inadequate user interface design could compromise their advantages. Mindray targets these issues and raises the bar for infusion pumps with its latest infusion system line-ups - BeneFusion n and e series – that equipped with a comprehensive suite of infusion management solutions, from both volumetric pumps and syringe pumps, modular docking design to integrated IT solutions, to meet diverse medical needs. BeneFusion n and e series has received recognitions and accolades from medical communities since its launch and been widely employed by prestigious teaching hospitals in countries including France, Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, and China.

“We are honored to have the great opportunity at the EfCCNa congress to connect to critical care nurses in Europe and communicate how technological advancement could better help to lighten their burdens and deliver more effective infusion therapies to patients by minimizing operational errors and streamlining the entire infusion delivery process,” said Fiona Niu, Global Marketing Director of Mindray.

State-of-the-art technologies that deliver unparalleled safety and efficiency

Complex intensive care environments have a higher likelihood to induce IV medication administration errors. To address the problem, Mindray has developed the SafeDose™ Drug Library Management tool that features a color-coding system help caregivers to profile drugs with higher precision and cut the potential human-based errors, coupled with its SafeDose™ Info that minimizes manual programming steps to enhance efficiency. With SmartAIR™ powered by advanced sensors and mechanisms that provide precise air-in-line detection and timely alarms, the BeneFusion infusion systems can further prevent the risk of air embolism and enhance the overall safety during the intravenous drug administration process.

Through BeneFusion n series, Mindray has also reimagined the user experience of infusion pumps with a 7-inch full-size capitative touchscreen and intuitive user interface that is incredibly easy to navigate and allows the users to complete 80% of operations on the main interface. The highly durable screen is resistant to 49 types of disinfectants, easing the workflow for cleaning and maintenance.

A universally connected platform that allows for comprehensive ICU patient monitoring

A system that seamlessly integrates clinical data from different medical devices and generates real-time and holistic reporting on ICU patients’ conditions has become an increased demand for medical personnel to deliver accurate diagnosis and treatment. Mindray’s InfusionView™, a solution that provides a visual-friendly and comprehensive picture of vital sign trends, infusion data and physiological parameters chronologically, is designed to inform the medical staff about the effects of medication, and the patient’s current or historical health conditions.

With M-Connect IT solution, the infusion systems can also be seamless integrated to the departmental and hospital-wide smart ecosystem. This ecosystem features central monitoring stations where the data and health overviews of all patients are displayed; a distributed monitoring system that makes patients’ data and information accessible without any time and location-based restrictions, in particular with MobileViewer that serves as more flexible mobile terminals; and an e-gateway that enables all data to be linked to the hospital’s information system for two-way data exchange.

We believe the seamless synergy of medical devices will effectively facilitate the interaction between patients and medical professionals and boost the performance of the healthcare system. Through these incremental efforts that bring meaningful changes to the healthcare practices and outcomes, Mindray strives to make healthcare within reach for all,” Fiona said.
