In a landmark gathering, Croatia recently played host to the 2023 Nuewa Club Europe Annual Meeting. Drawing nearly 100 of the continent's foremost experts from countries including Italy, Bulgaria, Romania, and beyond, this pivotal event marked the resurgent presence of better technologies for women’s care in Europe. The conference centered on the critical theme of ultrasound techniques for women and fetus care, spotlighting the latest advancements in the field.

During the meeting, participants were enriched by a cascade of knowledge from notable figures in the field of OBG. Dr. Ivan Bolanča, Secretary of the Croatian Society of Gynecologic Endocrinology and Human Reproduction [HDGEHR], Dr. Antonella Luzi from Italy; Dr. Jeni Iordanova Panaiotova of Nadezhda Women's Health Hospital, Bulgaria; Prof. Ishraq Dhaifalah from the Czech Republic, a forerunner in first-trimester screening; Serbia's Prof. Snežana Rakić, a perinatology subspecialist; and Prof. Giuseppe Rizzo, Director of Gynecology at Fondazione Policlinico Tor Vergata Rome, all provided invaluable perspectives. They delved deep into gynecological ultrasound examination, prenatal screening, and fetal ultrasound screening. Dr. Ivan Bolanča from Croatia initiated the sharing session by delivering a presentation on the topic of "3D/4D Hysterosalpingo-Foam Sonography (HyFoSy) in the Evaluation of Tubal Patency". Dr. Ivan Bolanča shared his experiences and clinical practices related to utilizing Mindray's imaging technology for tubal evaluation. His inspiring insights were well-recognized by the attending scholars.

Dr. Antonella Luzi, an Italian OB/GYN expert, presented the topic of "Smart Pelvic Application in Daily Gynecological Outpatient Practice". She noted that "Pelvic ultrasound examinations are necessary for women of all ages for their different health needs. Smart Pelvic can obtain relevant measurement information of the patient's pelvic floor with one click. This greatly minimizes the exam time and improves exam efficiency."

"Smart ICV enables the acquirement of intra-cranial volume data with a single click. It has proved to be a reliable tool for intra-cranial volume evaluation", said Prof. Giuseppe Rizzo, the Director of the Gynecology Department at Fondazione Policlinico Tor Vergata Rome. He has been president of the Italian Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (SIEOG) and one of the founders of ISUOG. During the session, he provided an interpretation of Advanced Neurosonography for the Study of Fetal Brain and Cortical Development.

"4D ultrasound examination can observe the morphological function of the fetus and a more comprehensive condition of the fetal heart, which is especially important for the examination on the development of the fetal nervous system," as stated in "Parallel Study of Morphological and Functional Fetal Development in the First Trimester by 4D US" by Prof. Snežana Rakić, a Serbian specialist in gynecology and obstetrics, subspecialist in perinatology, and also an ISUOG ambassador.

Prof. Ishraq Dhaifalah, renowned for pioneering first-trimester screening in the Czech Republic, presented a compelling talk on 'First-trimester Screening and the FMF Certification Requirement'. Emphasizing ultrasonography's pivotal role, she elucidated how it serves as a multifaceted diagnostic tool in clinical practice for detecting placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) anomalies during early pregnancy stages.
