Mindray HyLED Surgical Lights Win German Red Dot Design Award
Red dot, which has a superior status in the field of industrial design, was established by the German design council, Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, which is the most renowned in Europe. This year, there were over 4000 submissions from 60 countries worldwide participating in the awards. To win this award, products must excel in various categories, such as creativity, functionality, quality, durability, representativity and environmental compatibility.
HyLED surgical light is an innovative LED lighting system with latest LED technology. With excellent electric design and ingenious LED positioning structure, the service life is up to 40,000 hours resulting in less energy waste over 15 years. Without infrared ray in the light, it effectively avoids injuring the cutting tissue of the patient because of temperature rise and makes the surgeon not feel any heat during the surgery. Sensitive AICS (Automatic illumination control system) enables HyLED intelligently to detect the head of the surgeon and automatically adjust the illumination for better shadow dilution. 3 easy-switch lighting modes fit the requirement of different kinds of surgeries. Design inspiration from the traditional Chinese kite, super thin cross shape of the light head provides better laminar flow in modern operating room.
The 2011 red dot design award for the HyLED surgical lights recognizes Mindray's focus on creativity and customer-service.
