Interoperability
It's about connectivity.

In today's demanding environment where more is clearly expected in less time, Mindray brings solutions!
It is not enough to develop clinical products with the clinicians' needs in mind. It is essential to develop seamless connectivity solutions to serve the specialized department, the hospital and the greater healthcare enterprise - all at the same time.
Open interoperability
At the heart of Mindray's connectivity is a commitment to open interoperability. Open interoperability is the ability of a system or product to work together with other systems and products without the need for customized interfaces on the part of the customer. This is often accomplished using public interface standards and profiles such as Health Level Seven (HL7).
Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise Patient Care Device (IHE-PCD)
Mindray, in an interest to improve interoperability, has gone beyond the HL7 standards by adopting IHE-PCD profiles, further defining and simplifying interface communication.
Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) is an initiative led by healthcare professionals to improve the way computer systems share information through the definition of profiles using established standards such as DICOM and HL7.
IHE-PCD has defined a number of profiles based primarily on the HL7 and ISO/IEEE 11073 Standards which provide a consistent format that is recognized and facilitates integration between monitoring systems and EMR solutions.
e-Gateway
Mindray's e-Gateway is the bridge that serves as the foundation for communication between the Panorama Central Monitoring System or stand alone Mindray bedside monitors and the hospital's network. The e-Gateway accepts the ADT feed from the HIS and provides the Results Messaging data output to the CIS using a standard IHE-PCD format. It can also be custom mapped to meet the specific requirements defined by the EMR vendor.
The e-Gateway is robust enough to support up to 200 legacy devices individually or additional e-Gateways can be added to support up to 500 devices across the network.
PDS Gateway is HL7 communication simplified. It enables EMR connectivity for the DPM Central Station and networked DPM monitors.
Mapping solutions
At Mindray, we understand that not all IT vendors support the IHE profiles yet. In these situations our Network Support Group can efficiently map either ADT feeds or Results data outputs to meet your hospital's needs. The e-Gateway has the ability to send Results Messaging to up to three separate EMR systems simultaneously. This capability allows simultaneous support of not only the hospital-wide EMR solution but diverse independent information systems serving departments such as the ICU, ER or OB.
Wireless flexibility
Mindray patient monitors extend to both WMTS and ISM wireless solutions for increased monitoring flexibility. Installed using industry standard components, our networks are designed and implemented to provide maximum uptime for mission critical applications.
